Wool hat kitGrower: Rustic Roots Farm
Price: $25.00 ( 1 )Available (Exact): 2
These kits are made just in time for the holiday season! If you know someone who has been wanting to learn how to knit or have a new baby arriving in the family this is an organic knit hat ready to be hand made for the winter cold.
Yarn is 100% organic Shetland wool (raised without pesticides or other chemical treatments) raised here on the farm from our flock of sheep. Shetland wool is famously soft yet durable. Raised and processed in Michigan and 100% made in the USA from our farm to the mill. Comes in a gorgeous warm brown cocoa color and natural ecru (creamy off-white).
Description: Each kit includes the directions on how to knit the organic wool baby to young child hat, 2 ounces of primary color, 1 ounce of the secondary color, bamboo knitting needles, and the pattern. $25 per kit. There are two choices for hats. You can choose between the brown hat with natural ecru stripes (picture #4) or natural ecru hat with brown stripes (picture #5). Each kit contains more than enough of the amount of yarn you will need to knit your wool hat.
The yarn in this kit is washed and fluffy. It is a two-ply bulky yarn. WPI is 7.
Rustic Roots Farm is now part of the Shave ‘Em to Save ‘Em initiative. We are listed in the Livestock Conservancy breeders directory. It’s a great program encouraging folks to raise and sell wool from their heritage breeds listed on the Conservation Priority List. Please mention if you are supporting this program and would like the stamps to earn gift certificates and coupons through the Livestock Conservancy.
